rough designs for a make up idea creating a prosthetic around the tape that makes it look like its digging into the skin the idea of restriction to the point of hurt, being unable to communicate to the outside world perhaps even blindfolding or painting over the eyes would give the idea of not being able to see, and sticking something up the nose as well as. with all senses gone it would feel like you had been buried alive.

This is a series of makeup ideas showing the process of being buried alive, like a mini step by step process of how it happens, the great thing i love about this and what ive done is that i can take any step from these pictures in the buried alive process and turn it into a makeup look creating more avenues of what I can create and the ideas I get. I added the sort of red tape idea to give that extra feel of restriction. Id love in my make up look just to go crazy with the look like this and go really abstract and un traditional pretty perfect makeup but Im worried that perhaps that isn't what Sharon is looking for and maybe I should only do some parts of the face like this and some parts the 'pretty' perfect side.

This is a quick sketch experimenting with what i can do with my makeup Ive tryed to make the face look textured and more dirty looking and rough to give an idea of how I may create a dirt like look. Im not to sure on the red although i quite like the whisped away look on the mouth. Shes unable to speak or be heard because she's been buried alive? perhaps. ANOTHER IDEA TAPING THE MOUTH!

Here i have picked out some fashion images involving blood to give me inspiration for my look and whether i should incorporate a bloody look or not.

I really like this image here as it looks like she has been slashed across there is quite a lot of blood but not to much reminds me of my image above

Fashion cat walk photograph ideas on where i could place the blood also given me inspiration to place something over the head

The clothing resembles blood which i thought was quite interesting rather than having blood itself  could get something that resembles so it isnt to gory

This is also an interesting look perhaps develop some ideas from this and see if it works with my project or not!

I chose this image just because of the darkness and gothic feel I like how it covers the face partially gives the feeling of being trapped like being buried beneath something like the feel to this!

Here I have collected some images of dirt or like rubble on the face I really love the texture on this image to the left and would like to recreate something similar for my look perhaps but maybe only creating it on parts of the face rather than covering it all! I need to find out how I can make the dirt and the texture to give a good look, perhaps the dirt could even be different colours, and darker like reds and dirty greens and browns as well as just a brown colour.

I liked this illustration as it gave me inspiration as to where I could place the dirt and how I can draw my own images, I love the roughness in the image and the texture as well.

I think this image is really dramatic with the black and white and i like the brush stroked effect that has been given I think I will use this idea as one of my looks as I really liked the ideas coming from it and the inspiration i'm getting. I would have carried on with the bruises on the neck idea but I feel like perhaps I will make it too gory and go to over the top and this way I can get a fashion image out of this for a music video.

I really liked the colours and mixture on this picture and felt perhaps if i changed the colour palette to a more gothic like take this could work well and I could work with something like this as long as i didn't go to over board with it. It means i can be expressive with how I do my make up and don't have to be precise and accurate creating straight lines. So its more like art rather than just a makeup. This kind of reminds me of one of Alex Box creations which is probably the kind of theme il want to be going for as she uses a lot of textures in some of her makeups.

A bit more of a gothic like image i just liked this as an inspiration of how i could do my lighting and set up to create a gothic like look with just the lights

This is how i could possible set up my dirty face look with just a bit of dirt on the face, but again maybe changing the colours and colour palette to not just a brown but reds as well

Here are some images from domestic violence campaigns to stop the abuse and try prevent it happening and getting women to speak up, I thought it be interesting to look at more imagery to do with domestic violence to see if this would be the path id like to take for one of my characters Im not to sure at the moment so Im going to draw up some pictures and see if this will help give me some inspiration!

I also thought about doing a zombie like look for my other character and creating the dead fleshed look i talked about before in the Evil Dead film, I think this would be interesting to do perhaps make it more subtle though and more of a beauty look but looking at these images will give me an idea of how I will create the look and where i can place the rotting flesh look. I like how the womans jaw is missing in the image to the right. i Don't no if that would be to hard to recreate but it would definitely be interesting to perhaps create rotting flesh around the mouth. I feel perhaps that would be most shocking as obviously the mouth is the passage way to inside the body and anything that looks grotesque the idea of it near the mouth is sickening and so it would also be the most shocking...

Here are a few more zombie like mages to really get an understanding of what the flesh could look like. Gives me ideas for refference and my make up designs.

Another grotesque image of rotting away flesh near the mouth,
Looking at strangling images to give me inspiration for the idea i though about having bruises round the neck, looking at ways the hands go around the neck and understanding ways of strangling will give me a better idea of how the bruises would form on the neck. I think it would be a really interesting idea to incorporate a meaning and to perhaps show

The images here reflect a more domestic abusive image especially the one to the right above, so perhaps i could include a smudged make up look on one eye to make it look like she's been crying or perhaps do a really beautiful make up use that and then have another where the makeup has run.

This image to the right here, although doesnt show domestic abuse or violence i loved how the hands were as if she is covering herself up, she's hiding something from the viewer and i love the subtlety in this image, rather than the images above which blatantly show abuse. I could perhaps do something similar but have less of the hand covering to show bruises around her neck.. and still have that beauty makeup that she has.
Another image of the scary girl from Evil dead again giving me more of an idea of how to recreate maybe a similar texture and rotting flesh look!

I really liked this hand, due to the texture and gruesomeness of it, I think it looks more blistered than really rotting but perhaps it could pass for the skin about to decay and the colour itself reminded me of decaying.

Again from evil dead reference to being buried alive being pulled under ground by a hand... This gives me an idea of perhaps, doing bruising around the neck like hand marks and not necessarily referencing being buried alive in an obvious way... it could be that something from the ground has buried you alive... and then perhaps this could then portray a message on abuse and domestic violence having a social background theme that would give a meaning to my work.

Again looking at the makeup the body looks like its rotting and discoloured somethings not quite right giving me visual reference to what i could do.

This is the trailer for the new film out called Evil Dead i thought the makeup was interesting as it reminded me rotting flesh and seeing as the body rots and decays over time once buried I felt this would be interesting to maybe try and recreate for one of my characters. The image below is a film still from the film although i haven't actually seen the film this has given me inspiration and ideas to create a rotting flesh look perhaps a little more suttle than this though.

Some images collected of hands. This was the first idea that came to mind on what make up idea I could do as I felt the hands would obviously scratch away to try and get out if you were buried alive. I feel like its kind of the most obvious choice to go for, but perhaps it can develop further with another idea. The hands I think are key to making my image look like someone trying to escape so felt it was important to look at these.

Some fashion imagery of things that reminded me of gothic urban legends and also some related stuff to being buried alive or the feeling of costraphobia
